Conservation

Caring for one plant well is a small act of conservation.

A healthy houseplant is one less plant heading to a landfill and one more person paying attention to what plants actually need. Here's what we're planning as PlantAdvocate grows — this page reflects intentions, not active partnerships yet.

What we want this to become.

Planned

Reducing plant waste

Every plant that survives because care was clear and specific is one that didn't get discarded and replaced.

Planned

Rare & endangered species spotlights

As the species database grows, we want to surface care information for threatened houseplant species that rarely get attention.

Planned

Giving back per milestone

We're exploring a model where community care milestones — not just signups — translate into a contribution to real plant conservation efforts.

Advocacy for one plant scales into advocacy for plants generally.

The same principle that grounds PlantAdvocate's care advice — real data over guesses — applies to conservation claims too. We'd rather list this as a direction we're building toward than overstate a partnership that doesn't exist yet.
